DIRECTOR of DEVELOPMENT

Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna seeks a full-time Director of Development. This exempt position leads a small team of professionals to accomplish all fundraising for the agency. The Director must develop and implement fundraising activities allowing the agency to strive to give all people in Harford and Cecil Counties safe and affordable housing.  Applicants must have at least three years of direct fundraising experience, with a track record of innovation and success. Applicants must have experience in corporate and major donor campaigns, grant writing, public speaking, and leading teams. Members will receive a modest stipend and on completion of their service year the Segal Education award which can used to pay for student loans. 

Repair Coordinator 

Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna’s Repair Program is the largest and fastest growing department, providing services to over 340 homes overall, and completing 757 repairs in 2021 alone. The AmeriCorps National Repair Coordinator will play a crucial role in fostering healthy growth for the program by supporting Repair Program marketing and recruitment efforts, and by helping to streamline the client application process.

The Repair Coordinator will assist in recruiting applicants who are in need of critical home repairs and weatherization, working alongside the Repair Program Manager to oversee the application process. This position will also be responsible for coordinating contractors and homeowners in completing repairs in a timely manner. The member will support the department’s revival of neighborhood revitalization projects such as A Brush With Kindness and Cecil Cares Day (a local neighborhood revitalization event). In addition to working with and leading the Repair Core Volunteer team to complete home repair and weatherization projects, the Repair Coordinator will also assist on the new construction build site once a week, to gain home construction knowledge and skills.
