Construction Volunteers

We build homes year-round and rely on volunteers to help make housing affordable. While we don’t currently have any openings for construction volunteers, we anticipate needing help starting in mid-May.

When volunteer openings become available, we’ll post a link here to our volunteer application and construction volunteer opportunities calendar.

We welcome individuals and groups, whether you’re skilled or new to construction, and whether you want to volunteer regularly or occasionally. If you’re looking to make a difference in your community, we’d love to have you on our team!

Here is some general information; check out our Volunteer FAQ’s for more specifics:

1. 1. Build sites are open to individuals and groups on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Start and end times for groups can be adjusted for the group’s availability.
   2. Interested in volunteering on a regular basis? Join our Core Volunteers who help on a more regular basis. Wednesdays are typically reserved for Core Volunteers, but many also volunteer on other days. It’s a great way to form lasting friendships and bonds while making an impact one house at a time.    3. Interested in volunteering with people you know?  Reserve a build day for 4 or more people by contacting mlouderback@habitatsusq.org or 443-895-0036 to select a date and get more information about group builds.
   4. Volunteers on active build sites must be at least 16 years old.
